Merry Christmas From C

Merry Belated Christmas!

Guess what we got to do?!
Stay home on Christmas. This is a huge deal!
Ya know that movie 4 Christmas's?
 Yeah, that's us.
And I prefer to be called Reese too, thank ya very much. I have been told I look like her ya know. Ha I wish!
Anyways,
But yes, our lives are normally miserable crazy on Christmas day.
Again, remember 4 Christmas's.
Normally after we get back to our house we all crash because we are so tired from doing the "to do" at every house we go to.
That gets tiring.
I know Christmas is time to be with the family, but really?
This year we tried to scale it down a bit. I think it worked out perfectly.  The E's have started their own traditions and I couldn't he happier about it.

Next year my family and my husband's family will all be in one city at the same time. And you know what? We must might have everyone over at the same time to do it all in one big ha-rah! So brace yourself. Seriously, brace yourself. I am sure some good stories will come out of this, as always....

It's Christmas Time In 2 Cities

This past weekend we started to celebrate Christmas early.
It was kicked off by going to Gainesville to spend the weekend with the Enlow's.
We packed up and headed out with a car full of presents, food, and what else but baby stuff.
Those little things need a lot of stuff for only a couple of days.
It's unreal!

Their tree was huge and beautiful.
Colby loved to look at all the lights and pretties they had out.

My favorite were all the nutcrackers.
I have been wanting to start collecting some for several years now and I think their collection has kicked started me into doing so.
Sorry Jared, but yes that means more "junk".

And of course we took tons of pictures of this sweet little face.

He loved their pond.
I think he would have jumped in it if we would have let him
He was so interested in those fishies and the net.

Oh, and "the phone" he was/is completely obsessed with this phone.
It was a present from Nanna and Granddaddy.
Buttons are his thing and buttons are his game lately.
And this little ditty had buttons galore.
He pushed and pushed and pushed those buttons.
I really do not know how the batteries are not dead yet.

After we got back from our weekend with family I turned around and started to get ready for our annual girls's Christmas party.
I have not gotten to go for several years now and it was so great catching up with everyone.
We all have babies now.
Our dinner conversations have surely changed throughout the years.
But I must say I think this was one of the most drama free relaxing party yet.
Great friends is such a special thing.
I love you girls!

Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving down at The Square D Ranch with my Dad and Terry. There were a ton of people there and so many distant family members have not yet met Mr. Colby.

See I told you there were a lot of people!

Of course everyone go-go-ga-gaed over how cute he is (I mean how could you not right?)
Really...look at this face...

See...
Adorableness!

He had a blast running around and playing monkey in the middle football with Uncle Nic

Uncle Nic sure loves C.
And I love that he loves C so much.
It's very sweet.
Gosh, I just love these two!!

C took a nap in the closet without any problems.
The closet was the quietest place we could find.
And it seemed to do the trick.
He didn't make a peep.
While he napped, Jared and I got to eat our huge Thanksgiving feast.
We did dessert Cheryl style.
We had 3.
I love desserts, and could resist myself so we split 'em.

My dad said a nice little prayer before our meal.
It was quite the tear jerker for him as well as I.
He wanted everyone to remember those who were not with us.
It made me think of Jennifer and Grandma.
I know they both would have been there with us if they could.
Both adding there spunk to Thanksgiving Day.

The holidays seem to be the toughest for those we have lost.
But we just have to remember they are smiling down on us and can't wait for us to join them so we can all be together.

John 6:39-40
And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

So, here Jared and I are.
Full of Thanksgiving as we have so much to be thankful for.

Thank you all for being such amazing family and friends to us.
We love you all.

Fa-La-La-La-La

Christmas cards are ordered and about to be mailed out to all of our family and friends.
The shopping has been done.
Our home is decorated with beautiful Christmas trimmings.
And Santa has wrapped all the presents and is ready for the big night.

We could not be any more excited for Christmas this year.
I feel like a kid again.
But in a different way.
I am excited for Colby to experience the fun of Christmas.
It really does put a whole new spin on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.

Hopefully I don't wake him up before he decides to wake up just because
I am so excited to see his sweet little face and reactions.
Ugh I just love that little boy!

We are going to be spending Christmas at our house this year.
No going here and there and everywhere on Christmas.
It's time we start our own family traditions.

Maybe I can whip up some of that delicious buttermilk blueberry casserole as seen on Pinterest
with some fruit, bacon, coffee (of course) and cider.
Sounds perfect to me!

Since Nanna & Granddady have to work on Christmas and can't join in on the fun of watching Colby,
we will be celebrating with them soon in Gainesville.

I hope we get to see all of our family on Christmas.
Christmas time with my family is very special to me.

This cute little stocking looks so empty now.
But you better believe that it will be full of fun little goodies for our sweet boy.

We hope you enjoyed taking a sneak peak at our Christmas decorations A La The E's.
We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and please keep safe while traveling here there and everywhere.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

The Christmas cards have been ordered and the tree is up!
It's starting to look a lot like Christmas in the E household!
Especially with our new fun Christmas garland and pretty pretty tree.

We used Tiny Prints for our Christmas cards this year.
And you will not be disappointed.
Don't worry the cute face of the family is plastered all over the card.
Yes, I have about 5 pictures of myself on there.
I mean come on, who doesn't want to see my beautiful smiling face on their Christmas card?
I think my mom might be the only one.
But then again she sure loves that Mr. Binks.
Ok, so maybe I'm not as cute as Colby.
That is why there are a million pics of Colby on the card and not myself.
That is what everyone wants to see.
I know, the jig is up.
We aren't that cool anymore.
Our baby is where its at.
But I'm OK with that.
He is pretty cute.
But again, I we did make him.

Merry Early Christmas
<3,
Cheryl, Jared, Colby, Max
